Why Attend?
Past students say thing like this:
“I would love to attend RYLA as an alumni, as I went last year, and I had an amazing time. I learned so much and made so many friends. I think one of my favorite parts was where you showed us the video about breaking out of our box, and chasing our dreams. Live with NO regrets. I am doing that now. RYLA has helped me so much and I would love to come again and help others learn like I did, but I am following my dream. I am participating in a cycling race that is over 2700 miles long. Cycling is my passion, and as soon as I heard about this race, I knew I had to do it. It is a solo support race, where it is just you, and it begins on June 12. I am sad about missing this year’s RYLA, and I know you are an amazing person, and I love that you are doing this. This program is amazing, and it has helped me so much over the last year. Thank you so much for doing this, and helping people become leaders. I cannot quite describe how much I will miss it this year, I learned so much, and had an unforgettable experience.”

What to expect!
Each morning, your color group will meet for an opening ceremony and breakfast at 7:30 am. These groups will be guided by two peer alumni counselors and two adult facilitators. Throughout the day, you’ll participate in three classroom sessions, plus engaging team-building and problem-solving activities between classes. The cafeteria staff will provide a variety of delicious meals and accommodate all dietary needs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Please note that you’ll turn in your phones to your facilitator each morning and get them back in the evening.
Alongside motivating speakers and group activities, you’ll have the chance to try the rock wall climbing challenge and other physical activities, so make sure to pack suitable clothing and footwear. On Friday night, after the keynote address, we’ll celebrate with an ice cream party and a dance—marking achievements in life skills, Rotary Olympics victories, new friendships, and plenty of fun.
Saturday wraps up the event with awards and a closing ceremony. We’ll serve a light lunch before you head home at noon with your driver. We look forward to an unforgettable experience together!
